Additional notes regarding the technical specifiaction of Suzuki GSX-R600:
- The fuel economy (fuel consumption) shows either how much fuel the motorcycle is consuming per 100 kilometers or haw many miles you can ride it with a single gallon of fuel. In the specific case the fuel economy of Suzuki GSX-R600 allows you to ride 42 miles with one gallon of fuel or in other words it will burn 5.60 liters of fuel on a 100 kilometers (62 miles) run. Taken into consideration that it has a 18.0 liters (or 4.8 gallons)s fuel tank capacity it can be calculated that Suzuki GSX-R600 can run 321 kilometers or 199 miles with a full fuel tank.
- 599 cc engine displacement - that is the volume enclosed by the movement of the pistons from their lower to their upper position in the cylinders. The more cubic centimeters the displacement volume the more power the engine generates. As per the specification table here the displacement volume of the Suzuki GSX-R600 engine is 599 cc. It is specified in cubic centimeters (cc) or liters.
- 130 mm ground clearance - this is the space between the ground and the lowest part of the chassis of GSX-R600 measured in millimeters or inches. Usually off-road bikes have higher ground clearance while sport bikes have lower ground clearance.Bore and stroke measures of Suzuki GSX-R600
- 67x42.5 bore and stroke - this is a term concerning the engine parameters describing the ratio between cylinder bore diameter and piston stroke. If bore and stroke have equal measures then the engine is called square. According to the technical specifications of Suzuki GSX-R600 its bore is 67 mm and the stroke is 42.5 mm. For this particular Suzuki engine bore is bigger than stroke meaning that GSX-R600 has a short stroke engine.
- Compression ratio 12.9:1 - this parameter refers to how the cylinder's space changes from when the piston is down at its lowest point to when the piston is up at its highest point in the stroke. In other words it represents how tightly the mixture of fuel and air in the combustion chamber is pressed before the ignition. It plays a big role in engine efficiency because bigger compression ratio means better thermal efficiency and more mileage with the same amount of gas.
- Chain final drive: All three variations of the final drive (shaft, belt and chain) are perfectly doing their job and one of them is always preferable depending on the type of motorcycle and it can not really be said which one of them is the best as each one has its advantages on certain occasions. All three variations of final drive have been used for a very long time and each of them has proved to be successful one. The final drive of Suzuki GSX-R600 is chain.
chain final driveChain final drives are known for their simplicity and efficiency in driving power from the engine to the rear wheel of the motorcycle and are one of the most popular final drive options by far. However chains have their down points - more frequent need of maintenance (lubrication and cleaning) which means that a biker should always keep an eye on the chain especially in rainy days or dusty roads.
- Liquid cooling system: heat management and biker's comfort are some of the major concerns for the motorcycle manufacturers. Liquid cooling is better for the engine in high traffic and speeding but its biggest advantage is that liquid cooled engines tend to produce more horsepower. How to replace the Suzuki GSX-R600 turn signals
- Replacing Suzuki GSX-R600 turn signals is an easy job and commonly considered a do it yourself project. Generally the motorcycle turn signals wires are color coded and disconnecting them is not a problem. The next step is to locate the bolts that hold them in position. Connect the wires properly after the new Suzuki GSX-R600 turn signals are placed in position.Suzuki GSX-R600 protective cover
The dimensions of the Suzuki GSX-R600 are important when choosing a motorcycle cover. The overall measures of the bike could be increased by some aftermarket accessories. In case the motorcycle has saddle bags or windshield then it will most likely need a larger protective cover.
