Additional notes regarding the technical specifiaction of Suzuki GSX 1250 FA:
- Fuel consumption (economy) is usually presented in L/100km (shows how many liters of fuel it consumes per 100 kilometers) or in MPG (shows how many miles it can go with one gallon of fuel). In the specific case the fuel economy of Suzuki GSX 1250 FA allows you to ride 34.6 miles with one gallon of fuel or in other words it will burn 6.80 liters of fuel on a 100 kilometers (62 miles) run. So if Suzuki GSX 1250 FA has a tank full of 4.9 gallons of fuel it can be ridden for 169 miles till we run out of gas. Of course we better make sure we top it up again before that happens.
- Engine displacement of 1255 cc - this refers to the volume described by the movement of a single piston in the cylinder multiplied by the number of the cylinders the engine has. The more cubic centimeters the displacement volume the more power the engine generates. As per the specification table here the displacement volume of the Suzuki GSX 1250 FA engine is 1255 cc. It is specified in cubic centimeters (cc) or liters.
- 135 mm ground clearance - means that the shortest distance between the ground (considering it is flat) and the chassis of GSX 1250 FA is 135 mm. Motorcycles with lower ground clearance would have better handling as their center of gravity will be lower than average.Suzuki GSX 1250 FA bore and stroke diagram
- 79x64 bore and stroke - bore is indeed the size of the piston presented by its diameter and stroke is the depth of the piston measured from top to bottom. The stroke value actually represents the distance that the piston undergo in one stroke. The technical specification of Suzuki GSX 1250 FA shows that its bore and stroke measures are 79 mm and 64 mm. If bore is bigger than stroke as it is with this Suzuki engine then we say that GSX 1250 FA has a short stroke engine.
- Compression ratio 10.5:1 - this parameter refers to how the cylinder's space changes from when the piston is down at its lowest point to when the piston is up at its highest point in the stroke. Premium fuel might be recommended for some motorcycles with high levels of compression ration in order to avoid engine knocking. With internal combustion engines the higher compression ratio allows higher efficiency because the combustion temperature is reached with less fuel.
- Chain final drive: All three variations of the final drive (shaft, belt and chain) are perfectly doing their job and one of them is always preferable depending on the type of motorcycle and it can not really be said which one of them is the best as each one has its advantages on certain occasions. Each of them has proved to be a successful technology for the years it has been used by bike manufacturers. The final drive of Suzuki GSX 1250 FA is chain.
motorcycle driven by chainMost motorcycles are produced with chain drive because of its economical way to transfer power to the rear wheel and convey the biggest percentage of engine power in that process. Many bikers may complain of the need of constant care though. Since the chain is exposed to dust, sun and rain it needs to be periodically cleaned and properly lubricated.
- Liquid cooling: the constant cooling of the motorcycle engine is mandatory for its efficiency and durability. Although the liquid cooled motorcycle has a radiator and hoses and require more maintenance it provides better regulated temperature to the engine. How to replace the Suzuki GSX 1250 FA turn signals
- Replacing the turn signals of Suzuki GSX 1250 FA is not a difficult undertaking and usually turns out to be much simpler than expected. Generally the motorcycle turn signals wires are color coded and disconnecting them is not a problem. After locating the bolts that hold them in position you will have to remove them. There should not be any confusion connecting the new Suzuki GSX 1250 FA turn signals after they are placed since the wires have been properly marked.UV and dust protection cover for Suzuki GSX 1250 FA
Since the dimensions of the Suzuki GSX 1250 FA are given in the specs that would help you get the right size motorcycle cover. The overall measures of the bike could be increased by some aftermarket accessories. In case the motorcycle has saddle bags or windshield then it will most likely need a larger protective cover.
