Although Ducati Supersport 800 has a bigger engine displacement than Kawasaki W 800 it doesn't necessarily mean it is more powerful or better performing bike. The second bike has the advantage of greater compression ratio of 10.3:1 than the other one. This ratio is the relation of the volume in the cylinder when the piston is at the bottom of the stroke to the volume in the cylinder when the gas is compressed and the piston is at the top of the stroke.
